I’m going to be quite the traveler the next few days. This weekend DH is nice enough to watch junior while I go to a spa for my friend’s bachelorette celebration (clear skin, here I come). And then on Monday, I’m traveling all the way to Los Angeles to attend my first event as a *blogger* not as an employee communications consultant or mom. As a blogger! Beth Feldman from Rolemommy.com was nice enough to invite me and other mommies to an event she’s running for the show “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”Â
I just got the itinerary and it sounds awesome. Q&A with the cast and Executive Producer, Kari Lizer (of Will and Grace fame!), pre-taping of an upcoming episode and, the best of all, Blogger Coffee Klatch! Yes, I’m going to be in very good company there (gal(s) from Mommy Track’d, Cool Mom Picks, Manic Mommies, to name a few). And little ol’ me. So I’ll be sure to fill you in on my adventures. Stay tuned. In the meantime, some reading material for while I’m gone…
- More news about mom-friendly employers (E&Y must have a kick-ass PR team)
- Good profile of another SMM who’s a women’s basketball coach (Thanks, MIL)
- No baby, no milky (I’m so glad men are in charge)
- Working mom rebuts male idiot (Thanks, Lawyermama)
- Finally, what did you all think of Lost?? Loved the Wookie joke, Sawyer!
P.S. My son learned how to wave bye-bye this week. Which means I’ll now feel even guiltier when I leave the house without him. *Sigh*

Wow, that sounds really cool. I look forward to the day when I go to my first event as a blogger. I bet you’ll meet some very interesting people while you’re there. Good luck and enjoy!

Looking forward to meeting you there – although maybe a little less so knowing that you’ll have sparkling clear skin that will put the rest of us to shame.
Cheers -
