It’s been a week of some really great discussions and interesting topics on some of my favorite blogs and websites. I thought you all might want to read up or join in. I know I have.
- “The Feminine Mistake”- if you haven’t heard about this book by Leslie Bennetts yet, you must be hiding under a very large pile of work at your desk. Mommy Track’d writer Meredith O’Brien discusses this book in a witty post about the media’s need to create a ”sexy news story” surrounding the “Mommy Wars.”  You can also read more about Bennetts and her book via an interview on iVillage.com. Â
- “Amazing Girls”- This article in this week’s New York Times about young women striving to succeed scared me. Fellow working mom blogger Susan compared it to her over-achieving youth and Cathy Arnst of Working Parents thinks these girls set great examples. You make the call if these Amazing Girls are role models or if you’ll be selecting XY for baby #2.
- “Keeping Friends or Baby Dissed?”- The Juggle got some chatter going about working parents who have a hard time keeping friends and then rebuttals from the childless friends of those working parents – those who’ve been “baby dissed.” Friends I’ve baby dissed, I’m sorry.
- “More Moms Against Multitasking”- In a post that hits home, Beth from Silicon Valley Moms Blog writes about the mother of all challenges – multitasking. And then the very funny Zero Boss discusses why he will always be a multitasker. Except while driving. I guess I’m the only one who’s that dumb.
Happy reading!

Really Interesting links. Thanks for linking to the multi-tasking post. My friends and I always talk about the multi-tasking dilemna – Do ya try to get it all done and do some things half a** or do you try to accomplish less with more quality???? All I know is that when my blackberry buzzes in my car with an email, I really need to have it out of my reach or else I am completely tempted to check it while stopped at a light.
