Last year, on April 3, after 3 1/2 hours of pushing, I birthed my son -Â all 8 lb. 9oz of him.
Last night, after 4 1/2 hours of basting, I birthed my brisket – all 7 lb. 6 oz of it.
Both were well received. Want to come over for leftovers?

Happy Birthday, little Self Made!
7 years ago, on April 3rd, I also birthed my son but unfortunately
last night I was nowhere near that yummy looking brisket of yours.
Congrats on both accounts – surviving the first year and creating what looks to be one delicious meal!
Happy 1st birthday to the little one. I may have a wife for him, she celebrated her first birthday last Friday (March 30). She’s a cutie pie (if I do say so myself). No brisket last night, but e-mail if you want some pics of her
