- I’m finding it difficult to write only about working mom-related things on this blog, so I think from time to time I’m going to have to throw in my random experiences as a mom. Hope that’s ok. No worries, my celebrity working mom bashing will continue.
- I can’t comment for sh**. So many of my wise blogger friends have tried to tell me what makes a “good” comment, but it’s not sinking in. Thoughts? Do all comments have to be good, anyhow? Can’t I suck once in awhile?
- Speaking of comments, spam comments on my blog are going through the roof! I used that WordPress plug in, but if I see one more slang for a you know what on my “Dashbord” I’m gonna freak.
- There have been many other more popular bloggers than I who’ve riffed on the keywords people use to find their site, but one I saw today was so funny, I had to chime in. Someone typed in “women wookies joke” and found my site. I know the post where I wrote the word wookie, but someone agree here, there’s nothin’ funny about a woman being compared to a wookie. Ok, well maybe a little something, but not on my site. There’s something about keywords here that I’m just not getting.

Sometimes good comments flow, and sometimes not. I don’t think there is such a thing as a sucky comment. I think, hey, that person took the time to leave me a note. I love seeing what people search to get to my blog. I can’t remember any really funny ones right now. This is where my comment starts to suck…

I’m with Steph. I just think it’s wonderful when people say hello. Makes a girl feel connected. You should def. blog about being a mom – the working part will come in often!
My comments are always short and sweet. However, for me, comments on my blog are just a way of seeing what other people think, or feel about a situation they’ve been in that is similar to mine.

Well, I’ve never thought deeply about my comments. Until now. The pressure, I can’t take the pressure.
Comments have guidelines? Who knew? On my blog, I just like comments to know that I am not talking into a void.
I’m with BusyMom and AmyBow… I had no idea that there was such a thing as a good comment. (Although I’m pretty sure that “ditto” qualifies as a bad comment. Sorry…) I’m pretty good at spotting a bad comment, though (besides “ditto”) – you know, things like, “You are such a freaking moron! What makes you think you know anything about anything? Or that anyone wants to read your clueless, self-indulgent drivel?” As far as I’m concerned, if it’s not one of those, I’m having a good day.
(Oh, and smilies are probably bad too. Sorry again…)
