I’m still going and going and going on the nanny hunt. We’ve met some “good” candidates, but I’m not falling in love with anyone. I’m not sure if I’m being too picky, but since I got burned last week, I don’t want to rush into anything.
Of course, I don’t want to write about anything else, either, so I’m sorry that my blog has been painfully boring lately. It doesn’t help that everywhere I turn people are writing about nannies.  I’m still threatening to quit. But my husband says that’s crazy.  I just hope I can find someone soon before my batteries run out.

Does Chicago have a Nanny Network. We have one in Seattle and it is awesome. I am not threatening to quit, I an full-blown mulling it over and doing the math on how to switch with my hubby who stays at home. Wish us luck, I am dying to try my hand at stay-ay-home-ville.
Take your time. My girlfriend at work stumbled upon (Google search, whatever) her nannies Myspace page and found a blog posting the girl had written that talked about how much she hated watching the twins, how at one point in the day she let the little boy cry for like a half hour, etc.
She was shocked. She had gotten great referrals on the girl. I guess the moral is Google everyone!
