My apologies

Sometimes I think I shouldn’t be a blogger.  I never remember to link to anyone and when people send me things to review it takes me an ungodly amount of time to write about it.  But a nice reprieve at my parents’ house this week is allowing me to catch up on a few outstanding links, reviews and miscellaneous bloggy-ness that I’ve long been forgetting. Thank goodness I’m not that popular.

  • First up, a new product review of two alternatives to Post-It notes.  If you are one of the first 10 people to comment on the necessity of better list-making skills, I’ll send you a cute little notebook.  So scat!
  • When you come back, be sure to read my take on the upcoming holidays.  It’s only the week before Thanksgiving and I’m already sick of Christmas music.  Yep, I think I’m missing that special “holiday spirit” gene.
  • I don’t get that politically active, but when it comes to the health and safety of our children I’ll spread the word. The Consumers Union is holding a major awareness campaign to help educate retailers and shoppers about safe toy options.  Check out their site or MySpace page for more information.

Ahh, that feels better.

OK fine, I’ll bite. As someone who wrote the details of a recent re-finance on the entertainment section of the newspaper and had to distinguish THAT particular newspaper page from the one I wrote an insurance claim number on, I’d have to say that the CrossItOff would be helpful because it’s a lovely red color and would stand out in my pretty yellow kitchen :)

I’m hopeless when it comes to organizing my post-its, index cards, etc. (can you tell?).

Sometimes I think I shouldn’t be a blogger either. The pressure, oh the pressure! I guess I’ll have to add it to my to-do list. If only I made better, more effective lists! :) ANYthing for free stuff.

Happy Thanksgiving.

You know what, I am a big believer in lists. That being said, I have not found the perfect way to keep lists yet. I revert back to bad habits until I find a different approach again.

I don’t KNOW how people function without any lists. Maybe they have better retention or something.

On another topic, I’ve been finding some great resoures for toys and safety for kids. Perhaps I should add as a separate LIST in my blog margin. tee hee.

As a newbie blogger I’m finding all sorts of things to blog about during the day (crazy drivers, crazy co-workers, you get the idea) but when I actually sit down in front of the laptop my mind draws a blank. I need to get in the habit of jotting down my “ah-ha” moments for later inspiration.

I am a huge list-maker; i am way too scattery to keep track of what needs to be done.
My problem is that I tend to redo the same list over and over again. The CrossItOffLists
notebook seems really cool and functional. thanks for the reviews; i always enjoy checking
out new ideas and thinking about how i would love to be more organized. :-) Happy
Thanksgiving to you and your family!

ooh, there is still more left. Might this help my husband see the lists I leave for him before its too late? Not to mention the kids school stuff that’s interfering with my new job. Commenting from the car on my iPhone :) not drivin of course.
