Who would have thought the people at Apple would care what you did for a living in order to properly register the g-d darn Nano?Â
Apparently, recently unemployed SAHM didn’t make the list. Is this what I’m in for?

Welcome to the world of “Other”…
Huh. Never noticed that before, but that seems like discrimination now, doesn’t it? (Not to mention a missed marketing opportunity…)
I use to be in the construction field, that’s not on there either. Now I’m just a stay at home wife/grandmother so I’m still in the other category. Do these companies think that only people in the fields they have listed are the only ones that buy their products or are they the only fields that they care to market to?
You could do like I’ve chosen to do, just pick one that it totally way off base just to skew their results. That’s what they get for being nosy idiots as far as I’m concerned.
Why on earth do they even need to know this???? hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Hey, I get paid pretty good money to work outside of the home and my profession or field are not listed. T
Well, semiconductor is never even listed in industry type, and really, how many of those
And I had to watch the Cashmere Mafia episode anyway
companies are there? I’m back
Maybe you’re “retired?”
I get paid everyday with hugs, kisses, smiles, and laughs (ok, and a few tantrums along the way), but that’s what you expected me to say, right? So it boils down to the fact that I guess I am ok with being “other.” In reality, we SAHMs (really just “we moms”) cover so many of those categories, there wouldn’t be room to select just one–Photographer, Music, Educator, Finance, Manufacturing (homemade playdough and the sorts…c’mon), Medical, etc.
That and not being eligible for disability insurance which I have to admit with all the ice out here I’ve been thinking about a lot lately as I try not to break my ankles.
