Instead, I bought the Tote a Tot. It slips over your roller bag and secures your car seat with child strapped in and voila. It's so much easier. Granted, you do have to unhook it to put it through the security belt, but you are only putting the car seat through (the "holder" stays on your luggage). When done on the security belt, you just slip the clasps through the car seat and attach again. I've travel internationally and never had a problem with it fitting through the x-ray machines. I'm sure most airports with do a hand check for you. What I do is just announce very loudly to the person that it doesn't fit, and that I need a hand check. When they ask me to take it apart, I get a hysterical look on my face and tell them that it is too difficult and that I can NOT do it safely while watching my two children.
