To know me and my blog is to know I love fashion. And I haven’t posted about fashion in awhile here, because, well, with all the weight gain and loss, frugalness and the grey of a very long winter, I just wasn’t feeling all that fashionable.
But, alas! Spring is in the air and the frugal ban was lifted in honor of me and Mother’s Day, and well, I did a lot a little shopping.
Heck, people, I AM going to the beach in a foreign country in a couple weeks.
But one of the items I procured was rather practical. A purchase to last me through the swollen feet of August.
Otherwise known as the $40 PR-driven-wallet suck. (I got them 20% off.)
But seriously, these things are COMFY. And I found them in navy blue patent leather (couldn’t find the exact pair online and too lazy to photojournal them here.)
Consensus on the street (aside from my one friend) is that these are one FUGLY shoe. And you know I’d rather be caught dead than in ugly shoes. Especially ugly flip flops. Something is drawing me to this particular pair of shoes, however. The cushiony sole, the promise that it’ll tighten my ass on the way to the park.
But I don’t want to be caught being unstylish just in the name of comfort. That’d ruin my rep, ya know?
So… fit or fugly? Help me! I only have 10 days left to return them.

Ooooh, Sara. Hate to say it, but fugly. It has to do with the wave pattern on the side of the sole…just not cool. Then again, I’m all for comfort. They’re not awful, but they are certainly not cute. Then again, what flip flops ARE that cute except for the “nice” ones bedazzled up with pretties and flashies?
Ummm, I hate to say it… but Fugly. I would use these (maybe) for beach/pool shoes only.
And the Fit part IS a perk, but no one will know that on the street. They will look at your feet in distain. Do you really want that on your conscience?
lol. I’m kidding. Ok, not really.
Awww, c’mon – it’s a flip flop. If it’s comfy, then go for it.
(Unless the thing were just truly AWFUL, which to me it does not appear to be.)
What I’m really curious about is whether the “fit” part actual works as advertised – please let us know!
If they really work then I could possibly live with them for the side benefits??
But I would only wear them to the park or pool.
I can’t imagine paying that much for “flip flops” though! Yikes.
So many fuglies… sad!! I know, they are expensive, but when you consider those old navy ones are cheap but fall apart after one year, they’re a bargain!
Don’t do it! I actually have a pair of these and your back seriously hurts after wearing these. They seem comfortable when you first put them on and you don’t notice a think when you’re walking around HOWEVER you will pay the price the next day!! Horrible lower back pain and your legs will ache that night when you go to bed.
They’re comfy – who cares? And frankly they just look like flip flops to me. Is anyone really going to look at your feet?
Oh crap. I’m old.
Get Rainbows!! They are the best!

Jean- of course I already have rainbows, but I left them at my parents’ house. Christine, I’m wondering- is the back pain from the “toning”?? I actually cut the tags off and wore them yesterday. oh well.
I can’t tell if I like them or not. I say if they feel good and you have things you can wear them with, keep em!
