I came across your site and thought it was awesome! I work for Torrid (http://www.torrid.com) and I was wondering if you would be interested in working together to promote our Fashion and promotions.
We will give you an exclusive preview to any offers, fashion and events we’re working on. If you’re interested please let me know! I look forward to hearing from you!
Sarah,
I love your blog and have been reading it since the beginning – first, you are a fantastic and hilarious writer – you got the funny gene from Ellen and the obsessive gene from Gene! And second I get such a kick out of keeping up with you and Joel and Scott. Your little boy is a riot and of course your Mother always keeps me in the loop. Keep up the wonderful work and feel well. I was watching something on the Octomom tonight so two kids will be a breeze. Ha, ha! Love, Rita
My name is Kathleen jensen and I am writing to you today about a fundraiser that we are hosting in Crystal Lake to benefit my niece, Bridget. Bridget was diagnosed with a fatal disease called Batten disease. Because so few people are affected by Batten disease it is considered an “orphan” disease. Our foundation, Hope 4 Bridget, is raising funds to support the efforts of those studying Batten disease. Every childhood disease deserves a cure!
I would be thrilled if you would be willing t add our event to your blog! Thank you in advance for your help in spreading the word and helping us battle Batten!
RALPH’S WORLD ROCK’S THE RAUE
Disney Musician Puts on Concert to Benefit ‘Hope 4 Bridget’ Foundation
Crystal Lake- Ralph’s World and the Raue Center for the Arts will join forces to benefit the Hope 4 Bridget Foundation with a concert on Saturday, February 27th.
Five year old Bridget Kennicott of Carpentersville was recently diagnosed with Late Infantile Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (LINCL), also known as Batten Disease. Affected children suffer mental impairment, worsening seizures, and progressive loss of sight and motor skills. Eventually they become blind, bedridden, and unable to communicate. Unfortunately, at present, the condition is always fatal.
LINCL is an “orphan” disease, meaning it is so rare that drug companies have little incentive to invest in research, and so clinical trials are put on hold or never initiated. In order to support those studying Batten Disease, Bridget’s family partnered with the Barrington Area Development Council (BADC) to launch the Hope 4 Bridget Foundation in August 2009. The Foundation’s mission is to provide funding for research and education in an effort to find a cure for this terrible disease, and to provide support for the children and families affected by it.
About seven years ago, front man of the Chicago Indie outfit The Bad Examples, Ralph Covert, was asked to make a kid’s record. His reply? “I’d be interested instead in making a great record that kids like.” As Ralph’s World toured the country, kids, parents, and grandparents alike danced and sang to “Sammy the Dog”, “All My Colors” and “Freddy Bear the Teddy Bear.” Eight CDs and countless concerts later, Ralph’s World sells out venues across the country. His latest DVD, The Rhyming Circus, includes tunes like “Gotta Be Good” and “Folsom Daycare Blues.” Dubbed the “Elvis (or at least Elvis Costello)” of kid’s music by the New York Times, Ralph will bring his trademark tunes and family-friendly energy to the Raue for this unique show to benefit victims of Batten Disease and their families.
Doors open at 10:30am, with the show starting at 11am. The concert will be followed by a Meet & Greet with Ralph and the Kennicott family. The Raue Center for the Arts is located at 27 N. Williams St. in Crystal Lake, IL. Call the Raue box office at (815) 356-9212 or log onto http://www.rauecenter.org to purchase $25 tickets that go on sale January 11th. Kids under two are free.
Hi Sarah,
It’s been a long time! I stumbled on your blog online while searching for baby stuff (have 4 now!) and I LOVE reading what you write. I’m at work and just laughing as I’m reading. I was getting updates about you and the family from my parents who would see yours while doing the “Wabeek walk.” My parents moved to Florida to be with us (my kids, really) about 2 years ago. So, I didn’t know you had another baby. Mazel tov! I’m glad to see you’re doing well. Keep writing!
I was told by a fellow blogger/reader of your great blog that you had posted about selling some items on ebay? Just wondering if you could send me a link to what you wrote or just shoot me an email about your experience.
Btw, you have a great sense of humor! Fun reading!!
